A real wedding, with a Highland cow on the invitation

Maya & Justin

Saturday, September 6, 2025

Photographed by Kate Holt Photography

Their invitation set the tone: a Highland cow in a crown of wildflowers, and the words “reception to follow.” The day began in a cedar-walled room, gathered their guests on the patio, and moved out among the trees for portraits.

From their photographer

“From woodland trails and charming barns to gorgeous ceremony and reception spaces and yes, the Highland cows.”
